Build Your Brady Home

1. Selection of lot and floorplan

The first thing we do when start the building process is listen to your wish list for a home and your necessities.  We then try to establish a budget that will best fit your lifestyle.  We ask a lot of questions during this process to make sure that we can get as much information as possible to draw a floorplan.  We will review the floorplan with you and make changes as necessary to make sure that it fits all your family needs.

We then look for a lot that best fits your needs for the neighborhood your family wants to live in.  We also address the landscaping for your lot and floor plan specifications.

2. Financing

During the designing process, you will need to secure loan approval. It’s important for us to know your approved budget so we can design your home to both your living needs and your budget.  Their are many loans available for building a home and we are more than happy to discuss all options available to you.

3. Purchase AND  Contract

Once we have finalized the floor plan, we’ll establish budget allowances for the interior and exterior finishes you’d like. Then we’ll draw up your contract and specification sheets. At this time, we will collect your deposit (earnest money) that will towards your down payment of your new Brady Home.


Once we have the contract signed we will have a series of appointments with you and your family to make choices for your home’s finishing touches.

We will make choices for:

  • Flooring
  • Lighting
  • Windows and Doors
  • Exterior materials and colors
  • Kitchen cabinets
  • Bathroom finishes

We will schedule appointments with our suppliers for you to make the choices at the right time in the building process.


Building a home can be a lengthy, complex process.  Our team at Brady Homes continually works with our contractors to make sure the highest standards are exceeded for your home.  Here is a brief overview of the construction process. Before the finalization happens we typically have done a punch list with our contractors to make sure your home is meeting our quality standards.  Within two weeks of your house completion, a team member will reach out to schedule a walk-through.

At the walk through we will do over aspects of your new home from how the garage door works, all mechanicals in the house, programming the heating/cooling system, and anything specific to your home that we need to address.  Also if you have not done so we will go over all information necessary to make sure all your utilities will be up and running the day you move in.

The walk-through is the most enjoyable for Brady Homes because its an amazing moment in your life that we get to share with you.

7. closing and move in

On your contract-closing date, we will meet with you, your bank representative, and Brady Homes, to sign all documents pertaining to the final purchase of your new home.

We will then turn over the keys to you and your dream home will be yours!

8. 10 month check up and 10 year warranty

Don’t worry weren’t not done with you yet.  After you move in we will be there for you just in case something goes wrong.  We build our homes with the closest attention to detail, but every once in awhile something happens.  We will be there for you in your time of need.  We follow up with you at 10 months to make sure everything is okay.  Also all of our homes have a 10 year warranty!
